Alex is great, but the timing to get my car out of service was inaccurate. I was told it'd be done at 3pm on Friday, but if it wasn't ready they'd have a rental car ready. I had to take a Lyft back to the dealer at my own expense and my car nor the rental were ready by 3:45pm. I ended up leaving in a Lyft without my car or a rental car and had to pick it up the next day.

I feel that there are internal issues within the dealership. The consultant mentioned that he asked the technicians to make repairs/adjustments to my concerns (door seal) and they kept saying that it was fine. The consultant had to order a new replacement part and have it changed out on order to have it fixed. The second issue was a detected water leak on the windshield. No water was detected on the inside of the vehicle, but I did mention that I had two separate incidents where I wiped off water marks on the windshield. I realize that it's hard to recreate rain for an extended period of time when it does not rain that often in San Diego. The service must have been fine since we did not discuss it in detail. I wanted to share some concerns regarding my recent service experience: I bought this 2025 Hummer in this same dealer a month ago, and despite having the vehicle in your shop for four days, two issues remained unresolved—one of which (a rear gate noise) should have required minimal effort to address. I was not provided with a loaner vehicle or any alternative transportation options during this time, which caused significant inconvenience. I requested four times that the vehicle be charged before pickup and even incurred fees during this period. I understand this service might not be offered, but my requests went completely unanswered. Rather than receiving a clear response, my messages were ignored. I hope this feedback helps improve future service interactions.

Getting a loaner was problematic., when I picked up the vehicle I was charged for gas that was supposedly used for a test drive in the vehicle was filthy It had been there for a while during rain and I guess dust blowing through the lot. The appreciation for myself as a loyal customer was nonexistent

The system at the dealership is terrible. We also have a Toyota and when we make an appointment for service, we drop the car off and have answers that day and more often than not, service that day. The idea that dropping the car off at GMC is only to hold a place is incomprehensible. We dropped our car off on Friday and it didn’t get looked at until the following Thursday. What on earth kind of inefficiency is this? We will never be back for service nor will we be purchasing a GMC vehicle because of the poor customer service. You guys need to do better and have an improved system.

Charlie De Los Reyes and Juan were awesome. However my first sales person was let go and no one informed me until multiple texts and emails. I called the parts department a few days after purchase to order some product. The person I spoke to was having computer issues and promised to call me right back......that was several days ago and still no call! I purchased what I needed elsewhere. Last thing STOP using whatever tire shine product you use!! After driving my $100,000 dollar truck home i had to remove spots all over the side of the truck. Some still wont come out even after having a professional detailer attempt to remove.

It truly was a hassle free experience. I really just wanted minimal interaction (maybe buy Carvana again) with buying a car but I saw what I thought was a good deal and decided to try buying from your dealership. I was afraid of being pressured by salesmen, etc. but Gary P handled everything perfect. Jade did great going through my financing too. Gary also helped me set up my On Star trial. I know salespeople may get $ for the trials per YouTube but it would probably be a week or two before I ever did it. Overall I had high trust in Gary and Jade. I've had a windshield chip that I've requested to get fixed at my last two maintenance visits, and it's still not fixed. It's supposed to be part of the repair package that I bought with the truck purchase. I'm disappointed that you can't seem to make this repair happen for me. I brought my brand-new 2025 vehicle in for its first scheduled service, as well as to address an issue with the dashboard speaker, which sounded distorted. I hadn’t tested the radio when I initially drove off the lot, so I didn’t realize the speaker was defective until later—meaning the issue was present at the time of purchase. My appointment was scheduled for a Wednesday, and I understood the vehicle might be kept for up to two days for diagnostics. However, it remained at the dealership for a full week. During that time, I attempted to use the dealership’s text communication system daily to request updates, but received no responses. I then resorted to calling, and even then, my service advisor would take one to two days to respond. It wasn’t until the following Monday that I was informed the speaker had been ordered for overnight delivery and was expected to arrive Tuesday, with the vehicle ready by Wednesday. On Wednesday, I called around noon for a status update and was told the car would be ready by 3 p.m. I received a call around that time confirming the vehicle was ready and would be washed for pickup. The technician inspected the vehicle and reported that oil had spilled around the engine and needed to be cleaned and dried. This raises serious concerns: if the car was in service for an entire week, how was this not caught earlier? Was a post-service test drive not performed? Even after the cleanup, I’m still experiencing smoke from the residual oil burn-off. This is extremely disappointing and frustrating, especially considering the vehicle is brand new. The dealership is not conveniently located near my home, and now I’m left questioning whether I should continue bringing my vehicle back to the same dealership for future service—or if I should seek support elsewhere.

I was very excited to purchase the new Sierra EV, but unfortunately, my experience with Marvin K. Brown has been extremely disappointing. While the truck itself is a wonderful product, several issues have surfaced that should have been disclosed or handled properly by the dealership. Paint Issues After taking the truck for window tint and protective coating, I discovered multiple paint blemishes and clear evidence of prior repairs. There are areas on the hood that were never painted, sections buffed with a rotary polisher that don’t match the rest of the finish, and even rocks and debris embedded in the paint. These defects were not disclosed at the time of sale and are very discouraging, especially given the cost of the vehicle. Lack of Support from Sales I reached out to Tanner, my sales rep, multiple times by call and text regarding these issues. Only one response was returned, which ultimately referred me to service. For a $100,000 vehicle, that level of support after the sale is unacceptable. Service Department Challenges When the control panel froze, I was referred back and forth between service, OnStar, and the dealership before finally reaching Josh Hayes, the sales manager. Josh was responsive and arranged a loaner and appointment, which I appreciated. However, when I met with service tech Sean at 7:00 AM, I was told my truck would be in for at least two weeks—just for a software update and installation of the front license plate. This timeline did not include: Replacing a scratched piece on the bed that Tanner had already admitted was the dealer’s fault. Addressing the paint issues. Installing the hard tonneau cover that has been on order since the purchase. Who wants to drive a loaner car for two weeks or more after spending $100,000? To compare, I called two GMC service shops in North County, and both confirmed they could handle the software update the next day. Overall Experience This is my ninth GMC vehicle, but by far my worst experience with both the sales and service departments. The lack of disclosure on paint issues, slow service response, and indifference from the team after the sale have been extremely frustrating. I regret not staying in North County and working with the Carlsbad dealership. GMC needs to address the widespread paint problems being reported by owners. But beyond that, Marvin K. Brown’s service department must improve its customer care. Right now, it feels like once the sale is complete, the customer is no longer a priority. I am disappointed. I bought a new truck and within a week the soft tonneau cover started coming loose on the highway ,unsafe and inconvenient. When I first reported it, I was sent back and forth between sales and service with no response. Only once Greg White, the Service Director, personally took over did I start getting updates and progress. After a long wait for GM corporate, the cover was finally replaced, but unfortunately with the exact same model. I believe the design is defective and would have preferred a hard cover to avoid repeating the issue on a brand-new vehicle. 1. When I 1st bought my car, there was some issues with my backup camera. You had my car for many days at a time. My backup camera issue was never resolved and no one ever found the Turbo problem even tho my check engine was on the entire time. 2. During an oil change appt at Midas, they diagnosed the Turbo problem, which turbscout to be a manufacturing issue so it must be repaired by Buick. I was told that when the parts were ordered, on 10/27, everything would be in within 7-10 business days and it would only take 1 day to complete the repair. Which I explained that urgency was important as I needed to be in LA on the 8th and having the car in optimal driving condition would be preferred to the alternative. When I spoke with Alex on 11/4 (after calling the service department multiple times attempting to reach someine), he said all but 1 part had arrived and would contact me when it did, or that overnighting the last part was an option. It's now the 9th, I'm in LA with a car that continues to 'decrease power' constantly and never heard from anyone the rest of the week. Your staff are all very friendly and are great at saying what what customers want to hear. But, at the end of the day, I'm left tapping my fingers without a car in optimal condition. It's disappointing.

I brought my GMC Yukon Denali in for a recall service. Although Kevin Napier was amazing with every interacvtion I've ever had with him and a great guy. I was very disappointed the stupidity of the policy that he said he was required to follow. He told me that I could have a rental car that they would cover up to $40 or $50. But I have a second car at home and didn’t need it and it would be an inconvenience to jump through the hoops to get and return the rental car. I asked for simply a ride back to my house. I was told that it was too far away and they wouldn’t cover it, so my only option was to pay for my own ride which was $58. I asked if we could split or reimburse up to the amount of the rental car, but he said he wasn’t allowed to do that. MKB has the best service representatives, more important the best best service advisor leader Greg White. I have been to many of the best so called dealers in SD over the years which includes other marks not related to GM and the knowledge the service representatives have is second to none. Their professionalism and being able to correspond to everyone visiting the store is a positive experience not all the stores I have visited have. Even if one of the advisors is not assigned to you they treat you as if you were. Where does that happen today? Greg White as the head is an example of what a true leader must be in todays world. Those that work with him are in my opinion qualified to lead any dealership in town. I just hope they continue to be a team at MKB.

Our car was serviced but all repairs were not completed. Our sunroof had a leak I specifically asked for the to be serviced inside due to the defective sunroof. All interior was soaked when car was returned. Unacceptable truly terrible service.
